The ex-Everton striker has been considering a move back to Greek football and Iraklis were very eager to see him rejoining the club.
AEK were also interested in signing the 23-year-old Greek striker, who moved to Lierse last summer, however it seems that Vellios has taken the decision to sign at Iraklis.
It is believed that Vellios is in advanced talks with the Salonika club and in the next 24 hours he is expected to complete his transfer to Iraklis.
