Manager of the Greens Andrea Stramaccioni wants to sign the experienced Croatian, since Danish stopper Rasmus Thelander is still suffering from a serious foootpad injury and nobody knows if he will be ready to help his team in the beginning of 2016-17 season, leaving them only with Rodrigo Moledo, Ivan Ivanov, Nuno Reis and youngster Sokratis Evangelou in the defensive line.
The 31-year-old international, who was a member of Croatia National Team in France's Euro 2016 and whose current contract with GNK Dinamo Zagreb expires at summer of 2018, spent two years of his career (2013-15) with Panathinaikos, winning the Greek Cup of 2014 against his previous team in Greece, PAOK.
