The Cameroonian midfielder has been watched closely by Mersin's scouts in action in the game against Olympiakos where he impressed with his display.
According to Live Sport newspaper Mersin are determined to make a bid in the region of 500,000 euros which would be difficult for Panionios to turn down.
However, if the potential transfer fail through, it is believed that Panionios will try to tie him up at the club with Boumale's contract expiring in 2016.
