The Swedish striker has been linked with West Brom in the past and according to LiveSport newspaper the Baggies have revived their interest in Panathinaikos striker.
West Brom scouts attended Sunday's away game against Panionios to watch Berg in action as the Greens claimed a 1-1 draw.
Berg has a release clause of 10 million euros in his new contract which runs out in 2019.
