Bullying, house arson, insulting banners, convicts, defendants deciding to tell the truth and the State intended to roll the dice at Greek football.
You can never be bored in Greek football. Every match lasts 90 minutes, but in order to watch and comment on... the facts after it, you need at least 90 days, with a duration of 36 hours for each one of them.
Where can we start? Let's start from the last topic.
* Karaiskaki Stadium should no longer be hosting the games of Greece National Team. It is a great home stadium, a modern one, with the best field, but it is certainly an unwanted destination for the great majority of football fans. Only one at ten Greeks thinks that it is the proper home stadium for the games of our National Team. Their security has been threatened, journalists are visiting it with fear and the opponents have been targeted with nationalistic violence, which has found its house there recently. Moreover, the temporary administrative committee is obliged to search for a new place immediately and should find a solution for the fans, a stadium which will be "home-security-hospitality of the opponents-modern facilities-football field". And then, the IRS which is already searching for certain deals, should search and find what's really happening with this stadium.
* The meeting of Big-4 with FIFA was scheduled for Wednesday. I understand the personal reasons of those who do want to attend and of those who do not want that, as well. But I can not realize two things: 1) FIFA is trying to end the corruption by violating the laws of our State? Mr. Koutsokoumnis should have learnt by now that there is a court decision prohibiting Mr. Marinakis' presence in that, while there is also a suggestion to be imprisoned until trial. 2) Which will be the subject of discussion? The beginning of silence mode? We were expecting FIFA to come in order to bring that "magical" solution?
* There were challenges from Bosnian fans at Karaiskaki Stadium. If we are trying to find excuses, there are plenty of them. The same which the system is constantly finding, in order to remain in control. "They are hunting us, they can not reach us, propaganda etc". The truth is that Greece is nowadays the empty cradle of democracy, which is controlled in every place by heavy nationalism, criminal organizations, and in the end from our football system. We could be telling that these thing are... happening, it was a rare incident etc. But we have seen plenty of them to believe that it was just a rare incident...
* Fifth personal witness from Veria claiming that Olympiakos away clash in January 2013 was fixed. The supporters of the criminal organization are being tortured with raindrops. Every once in a while, a fairy tale about Georgeas, constructed lies etc is going bad. But the question is not about them, is about the judges. Do they actually believe that a 3-0 score was fixed... by itself? A team was willing to lose, but also came a... satanic coincidence, to get the right score! Will the sports justice take action, now that it is an independent body with regular judges and not these renegers, little people who had thrown the case to the garbage?
* The acceptance of Vasilis Gagatsis made many historic football clubs' fans frustrated and they are right. Roman Walner case, the fixed championships of last decade, the many scandals, blood is still fresh in those. The suggestion of Melissanidis and Panopoulos about Gagatsis, with Panathinaikos as their unexpected ally, proud for it, and the silent acceptance of PAOK (probably to give something back after the candidacy of totally honest Vangelis Grammenos for president of the HFF) can bring even the intervention of the State, according to recent information. I totally understand the reasons of calling the wolf to send the stray dogs away. Still, when you are finished with the system officials, because they are involved in criminal cases, you have to be content to yourself at first. Even if Gagatsis is 100% more capable of the mentally ill people who are currently working at Super League. Olympiakos' vote in favor of Vasilis Gagatsis should have troubled the other sides...
* The presence of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and the State at Karaiskaki Stadium had its reasons. The State is making one last strong effort in the only part in which they can still turn things around and satisfy the society. For the financial issues, other people from abroad are deciding, but football is still in their hands. It is the only place in which they made huge steps, with certain directions by Tsipras and execution by Kontonis, against the cover-up the previous heads of our country were trying to bring. They have their chance. If they fight against the corrupted system, if they punish its heads, if they fasten the trial procedure, the same as Italians did with Calciopolis scandal, they will writhe history. Football is their last opportunity. And the fact that they are taking care of the problem with seriousness recently brings the hope that they can actually end the thieves and liars of football. Not as they did with the memorandums...
