Samba has been released by Dinamo Moscow and according to rumours from Russia, Panathinaikos have already approached the 32-year-old Congolese defender.
Panathinaikos are eyeing Samba as an alternative for Gordon Schildenfeld with the Croatian defender remaining the priority to reinforce Panathinaikos's defence.
