Sports journalist Kostas Nikolakopoulos at newspaper "Gavros", which deals mostly with Olympiakos' news and has an excellent relationship with their officials, confirmed today that the deal between Vangelis Marinakis and Nottingham Forest's owner, Fawaz Al Hasawi, is close to be completed.

SDNA had excluded the talks between the two businessmen since March 31, but Olympiakos had denied it back then with an official announcement. 18 days later, SDNA again excluded the meeting between Marinakis and Al Hasawi in Athens, but once again the Reds, through their "friendly" websites", denied the reportage and even blamed SDNA for.. trying to hurt the president with lies!

On April 27, "Nottingham Post" confirmed SDNA's information about Marinakis-Al Hasawi meeting in Athens, Olympiakos denied it officially again, but one day later the english newspaper insisted, with another article of many details about their talks.
This Tuesday, "Nottingham Post" claimed that the deal is close to be completed and the two sides are waiting for Football League's license to announce it. After that, sports journalist Kostas Nikolakopoulos pointed the obvious through "Gavros" newspaper: "For the first time, Olympiakos did not deny those rumours, something that proves that their interest is definitely real".

SDNA's confirmed again, but the most important thing is that this is another victory of fighting journalism, which is not afraid of blackmails and always telling the truth to its readers. Now, perhaps the rest of Greek Media will start writing also about Vangelis Marinakis' interest to buy Nottingham Forest...
