Baroja is on loan at AEK from Caracas as the Greek club are set to activate his buy-out clause which is believed to be in the region of 250,000 euros.
However, according to Goal newspaper there is an interest in Baroja from Athletic Bilbao.
No talks have been held as yet, but AEK are reported to be in the pole position to make Baroja's move permanent at the end of the season.
