Poyet has yet to pledge his future at AEK as rumours link him with potential vacancies in Premier League and Primera Division clubs.
AEK wish to tie him up ahead of next season and the Uruguayan manager would be happy to continue in charge, depending the interest from abroad.
Nevertheless, according to SportDay newspaper, Poyet is likely to meet AEK supremo Dimitris Melissanidis next week in order to hold initial talks over a potential new deal.
