"I love PAOK and its fans, the only thing I can say to them is a big thank you, their reactions at my last two games were incredible. However, it was my better for my career to return to my city, all my friends and family are here. I had many offers from Italy, England and Spain, but I left Thessaloniki only because Deportivo La Coruna approached me. At this team, I feel like I am home again and the language is another important aspect because I spent three difficult years in Ukraine.
I am still watching Super League games, the level is higher now, AEK returned and Panionios are also strong this season. My family was happy in Greece, because it reminds them of Spain, but I think I have the quality to play at Primera Division. I don't feel any pressure, of course I know that if I don't score for 6-7 matches in a row the people will start talking about me. I am 27 years old and feel strong, I hope that there will be clubs interested in signing me but the offers must be also good for Deportivo La Coruna. My mentality is accepting every challenge and always trying to be on top level, I don't want to play in China just for the money.
Don't ask me about Greek referees, everybody saw what happened at recent Olympiakos-PAOK match, when Spanish defender Botia was not sent off despite his brutal challenge. I will never forget the red card to Stoch, when Valdez of Olympiakos saw only the yellow for the same incident. The problem of PAOK is that they make 15 transfers every summer and then they do the same mistake the next year, without getting any money for them.
Ivan Savvidis is an honest man who loves the club and wants to see it reaching the top, but has many people next to him giving bad advices especially in transfers. Tudor is a European coach, I like his philosophy and style, but the results are negative. I don't have many things to say about manager Anastasiadis, we worked together for only two weeks and had communication problems, but I didn't like his assistant Leonidas. He did not want to help the foreign players and at times he refused to translate manager's instructions, although he speaks English.
It will be very difficult for PAOK to win Super League, many things have to change. I have many nice memories from the club, chilling emotions from the supporters and there are a lot of nice guys working there. I keep watching its games, I am a fan of this team and have many friends in Thessaloniki. Of course I will return to the city for holidays, I feel happy there, the complete opposite of Ukraine. My family didn't like it there, the Mafia controls everything in football and there is nothing you can do for fun after training", said the 27-year-old Spanish midfielder at his SDNA interview.
