Dimitris Mavroeidis scored a two pointer just before the end of the game but the referee Foufis mistakenly cancelled the basket. With the score at 79-78, Lavrio took the lead 79-82. After the end of the game the home team protested and complained about the referees’ mistake, which obviously changed the game.
The Sports Judge, therefore, justified Kifisia for the objection and counted the two-pointer, but the end result (81-82) proclaims Lavrio as the winners of the game, a decision never taken before in the history of Greek basketball!
