The administration of GNK Dinamo Zagreb was searching the market for a quality defensive midfielder, after the sale of Marko Pjaca to Juventus, and were informed that PAOK were willing to sell Ergys Kace for only 1.2 million euros, after his disappointing performances in France's Euro 2016.

The officials of the croatian club had the financial ability to pay that amount of money, but before submitting an official transfer bid, they wanted to ask their compatriot and former manager of PAOK, Igor Tudor, about his opinion towards the talented Albanian international.

It seems that the 38-year-old current manager of Kardemir Karabükspor advised the administration of GNK Dinamo Zagreb against making a move for the purchase of Ergys Kace, and that's how he "blocked" the transfer of his former player to the champions of Croatia.
