"It is not easy facing such a defensive team, with almost all of their players behind the ball. We tried to find some space and create scoring opportunities, fought hard to score and make some creative things. Still, you know that when the first half passes and you have not scored yet, the opponents will start reacting with confidence.
Time was passing, we were playing in front of our fans, needed to scorer and that made us kind of nervous. Finally, we managed to bag a goal and win the match, that makes us very happy but it was not easy at all. I think that they will take more risks at second leg, at their stadium, we will prepare our match plans well and see what happens.
As I told at the pre game Press Conference, AIK Stockholm is a side with many tall and strong players, they have ability in set pieces and we have to avoid such situations. I think we played well against them at first leg, we were very focused and we have to keep that attitude ahead of the rematch", said the 28-year-old former player of Vitória Setúbal.
