"I am in Poland right now, in the place where AEK's squad is training ahead of next season. I had a pleasant meeting with some friends from AEK, the general director and the technical director of the club, my client Dmytro Chygrynskiy has signed a contract with their team and everything is going well until now.
There are many rumours about Roman Zozulya and AEK, even fake statements of me in the Greek Media about that transfer. What I can exclude now, is that there is a special interest of the greek club about Roman, but also something that is currently blocking the negotiations.
The Greeks know well his great quality, but the problem is his notorious fine after that Ukrainian Cup match. According to the lawyers, he will be suspended for the next six months from all domestic and european competitions, no matter if Roman will be playing in Ukraine, Greece or Spain.
Still, we have appealed against that decision and hope that it will be reduced, 6 months is a very tough punishment, especially for the main striker of Ukraine National Team, which will soon start its effort to advance to World Cup 2018. However, I can confirm the negotiations with AEK about Zozulya.
From our side, we are doing everything in our power in order to return in action as soon as possible. AEK will play in the Europa League qualifiers soon and we must be aware if Roman would be able to help them advance to the group stage, their first game is scheduled for the last days of July.
When we have the final decision about his suspension, they we will learn if Zozulya could become a member of AEK. Until then, we will have to wait and hope that he will not lose half of ext season, something which would be very bad not only for his next club, but for Ukraine National Team as well", said the agent of the 27-year-old international.
