"I am very happy for being a member of Panathinaikos. I want to return to the top level and that club is giving me the chance to do it. I will perform again in the european competitions and I hope to help my team reach its season targets in Greece and at the international games, as well. My ambition is very high, I am working hard to improve myself and this is what I would do here.
My biggest advantage is my mind, I can easily settle in the current situation, while I have the necessary experience for the difficult times during a match. Furthermore, I will try to organize the defensive line and bring the sense of security to my teammates. Outside the field I am a very calm guy, maybe not very open to the others, but it's OK.
I will definitely be here in order to help and advise my younger teammates. Panathinaikos is a great club, very famous in my country, and they have helped many players return to the top level, of course this is one of the reasons I accepted their offer. Maybe this will be my fate in Greece, too. This will be good, for the team and me personally. We will help each other!
The president and the owner of my previous team, Lokomotiv Plovdiv, Hristo Kolev and Hristo Bonev correspondingly, were members of Panathinaikos in the past, so I had all the right information. So, when they learned about their transfer offer about me, they both said 'go there, not think it twice. You will not have another chance like this'. From there, there was only one decision to be made for me...", said the 28-year-old international.
