"Diki" Tv show of Sky Channel excluded on Monday the new shocking dialogues of Olympiakos' high-level official. This time, in a conversation with a journalist, Savvas Theodoridis was speaking about his... attack to a linesman during a friendly match of Olympiakos, after his mistaken decision about an offside goal against Piraeus club.
That conversation was legally wired by the super-bug of Secret Service on May 9, 2012, the same day in which Olympiakos was hosting Red Star Belgrade in a friendly game after winning their 39th championship, so he is clearly speaking about that clash.
The Reds won 2-1 against the Serbians, thanks to goals by Diogo (20') and Ariel Ibagaza (29'), while Ognjen Ozegovic had bagged the only goal of the visitors at 75'. The player was clearly in an offside position, something that is easily noticed even without the help of the replay, as you can see after the 6.20 of the video with the highlights of the match.
The linesman who did not see the clear violation
Michalis Koukoulakis was the referee of that clash, with Akrivos, Eleftheriou as linemen and Charalampos Kalogeropoulos as the 4th official. The second linesman, Florios Eleftheriou, was the one that did not see the clear violation and did not advise the referee to disallow Red Star's goal, something that made Savvas Theodoridis extremely angry after the end of the game.
"You should remember that I included you in the lists and you did not disallow a two-meters offside goal against us in a friendly match.... But, Mr. Savvas, he told me... Stop talking and hear what I am saying to you, I told him in order to scare him", said Savvas Theodoridis about his incident with Florios Eleftheriou.
Part of the system... but then he disappeared
SDNA searched the "who is who" of that linesman and the comments about him from referees' world were less than positive. "He is part of Georgarakos, Toubakaris, Tsolakis division", was the main opinion about him, and he is a member of Athens Union, like the three others. The 2014-15 season was the last one for linesman Florios Eleftheriou, whose career was ended after his many mistakes.
During that season, he had disallowed a clear goal of Kerkyra's Javito in an away match against SKODA Xanthi (0-0) in August, even if three players of the home team were covering the Spanish winger, leaving the officials of Kerkyra complaining against him.
