Ntamposis, a former referee himself, was the Referee Delegate who vindicated referee Kalogeropoulos for his notorious mistakes in Olympiakos-Panathinaikos decisive derby five years ago, in which a goal by midfielder of the Greens Kostas Katsouranis at 82' (score 1-1) was wrongly disallowed for offside, although four defenders of the Reds were covering him!

Ntamposis had blamed lineman Spyridon Trifon for this decision (and only, although there were also other incidents of injustice in this match, always against Panathinaikos), but former international referee Kalogeropoulos was appointed in only one Greek Cup clash the next autumn since then and was forced to resign.

It was the only time in the history of greek football in which the Hellenic Football Federation published an announcement against a referee, while Olympiakos also accepted that Katsouranis' goal should have counted and the government blasted derby's officials with General Secretary Panagiotis Bitsaxis' statement.

This is the story of Dimitris Ntamposis, who is responsible for Super League's Referee Delegates since Giannis Tsacheilidis' unexpected resignation last September as a personal choice of HFF's president Giorgos Girtzikis...
