In the first match, Panathinaikos managed to win 1-0 against PAOK at Toumba Stadium despite playing with 10 since 43', when defender Nikos Spyropoulos was shown a red card. The Greens went to Karaiskaki Stadium two weeks ago seven points behind Olympiakos, but instead of decreasing the difference to four (with the legendary disallowed goal of Kostas Katsouranis), were left ten points behind.

In the second match, struggling Panionios, trying to avoid relegation and finally succeeding it with an impressive eight-match unbeaten run before the end of Super League, won 1-0 against PAOK thanks to a penalty kick by Bosko Balaban. PAOK were complaining for a clear case of penalty against Stefanos Athanasiadis at 34', while in the suspicious conversations one of the officials was insisting that "Panionios should definitely win this clash"...
