All right. Ivan Savvidis is not a Greek Pontian, is a Russian Pontian. This was the decision of Olympiakos' communication system, this is the statement of their enthusiastic employees. Obviously because they understand that it bothers the owner of PAOK. He should not be bothered. If he thinks which are the people trying to insult him with this statement, he should have probably laughed with them.

If the meaning of being Greek in these days is being accused constantly for participation at a criminal organization and not being ashamed, but suggesting to the others how they will improve the quality of the product, it's better to be Russian Pontian. The Russian Pontian maybe will have a problem to create a strong team, but has made clear and proving every day that he does not want to control an injustice system.

If being Greek today means speaking with Pakistani phone numbers, it's better to be a Russian Pontian. The Russian Pontian is making investments to greek economy (to earn a profit of course, not for the grace of Panagia Soumela, but he is making investments), while the others are flying the flag of Liberia. And he uses a regular phone number to speak. Maybe a Russian Pontian number, but not a Pakistani one.

If being Greek today means bullying via internet or a real one, beatings in press seats, beatings in dark alleys, beatings outside the houses of journalists while their wives and children are waiting for them, firing journalist and a communication system more notorious than that of Kim Jong-un, it's better to be Russian Pontian. Every journalist holds the right to blame the Russian Pontian for his football mistakes as much he wants and as much it is necessary. Judging him harsh and maybe not fair. Without being afraid for a night meeting with tough lads without neck, who are eating all of their food and have problems using the alphabet.

If being Greek today means stealing, cheating, lying, pressing the weaker, vulgarity, opportunism, corruption and being hungry to control everything no matter which the cost is, everything that led greek football to its current situation and reminds us of most of the people who participated to Super League's clubs' owners' meeting (and some of them who did not attend), it's better to be Russian Pontian. The Russian Pontian is at least until now clean and his participation to the sport has not made him dirty, only with the filth of the others.

To conclude, if being Greek today means looking the other in his eyes, sitting to the same table with him for some hours and you don't have the courage to tell him the things you will send afterwards with your non papers, it's better to be Russian Pontian. The Russian Pontian will tell you straight in your face what he believes.

So, they are right in some part. Ivan Savvidis, according to his action during his time in Greece, is definitely not Greek. To be more specific, modern Greek. And we hope will never become one of them...

It's better to be Russian Pontian than modern Greek
