Former Panionios captain is experiencing great moments since yesterday, because the club won the cup, after downing Al Hilal, the current team of George Samaras. Sdna spoke with him and got a photo of him and the cup on air!
- It is the first title in your career. Tell us how you feel and how the atmosphere is in Jeddah.
"I am very happy. It was the best moment of my career. The love of the crowd in Arabia cannot be described, they are always next to us".- Where do you dedicate the trophy?
"To my family and all my friends in Greece. And to the fans of Al Ahli, of course".- How is life in Saudi Arabia?
"Life here is very calm and quiet".- Do you miss Greece?
"Yes, I miss Greece very much. My friends and my family. It is the first time I am away from home".- Are you happy with your decision to continue your career at Al Ahli?
"This trophy proves that it was the right choice. I am very happy with my decision".- What are your ambitions for the future?
"The League title and a good performance in the Asian champions league".- Do you follow the Greek Super League? Panionios?
"Of course. I know that Panionios is in a tough situation and I hope everything goes well, because the club does not deserve to be in the bottom of the table".- Have you kept in contact with your former teammates?
"I am in contact with the guys I used to hang out with. Avlonitis and Kolovos.- Do you have the national team in your mind?
"Everybody wants to play for the national team and it would be my honor. I could play in Saudi Arabia too, because I have dual nationality".
