At his 3.5 years at the club, he has invested more than 70 millions, a number that we could not even think before him. Our achievement until now is the opposite of his investment, however the truth is that Ivan Savvidis paid a lot and we can say that the problem of PAOK is strictly of football.
I watch Panathinaikos of Giannis Alafouzos at one side and PAOK of Ivan Savvidis at the other. Two clubs with a very different approach of things.
I don't see a future at Panathinaikos, because they have opened a wrong agenda. It is fair until some point to invest in "bad" Olympiakos, but when you cross the red line you firstly lose the public opinion and afterwards your team. Panathinaikos lost yesterday because has opened the wrong agenda. The players had excuse to lose, they had in mind how they would convince their fans, the hardcore ones, that there are other factors which not allow them to play as good as they can.
With manager Anastasiou they were taking some positive results by luck, but the new manager, who was not hired to retain a stable situation but to put his sign to the team, will bring negative results mostly because of the circumstances existed.
Things are different in PAOK and that's why Ivan Savvidis can hope that will finally find a solution. The problem is of football and when you try different recipes of success, the moment of achievement will finally come.
PAOK of Savvidis never crossed the red line about its preoccupation for the negative things of greek football. The club complained to the officials for those it had to, quietly informed about its actions about it, published all the necessary announcements and did not send a message to the squad that there is an excuse for everyone if they finally fail.
Today, talks about PAOK are strictly of football. If Arnesen choices are successful, if Tudor can handle the season under pressure, if the existed players are able to to lift the weight, if there would be the transfer of two good footballers, who will help the team to react immediately.
Ivan has proved that he is headstrong. Maybe he has bad consultants, maybe the public opinion, which always ask for cutting heads, leading him to false decisions. But his intention is clear, he fights to retain a stable situation and will someday end up finding it.
And he will finally achieve when he would find partnerships from PAOK family, who love the club and did not contacted him just to be at the payroll. Because the key at consultant cases is not to have your need, but be able to lead you at the right direction.
And they have to really love PAOK. Not under obligation...
