Panathinaikos departed today (28/10) morning for Barcelona ahead of the match against Barcelona (29/10, 22:00), in the third week of the Euroleague.
Panathinaikos coach Sasa Djordjevic, said that it will be a difficult game for his team and he will give time to his young players to participate, because of injuries that have struck Panathinaikos (Jankovic, Kuzmic).
"It's a classic Euroleague game. It is a basketball celebration. We have some injury issues. Jankovic because of a problem in his back stayed behind while Kuzmic will try, if he can help us a little. Barcelona is a very strong team, experienced, with very good athletes. Their new players are very athletic. We will go there for the best. Our mission is difficult in these circumstances and this means that I will give time to the young players of the team."
Sasa Djordjevic spoke about Bercelona start in the season saying: "Barcelona has taken four wins in five games. It is an experienced team, with many solutions and playing at home makes them even stronger. No other club has four to five and you can say that they have started the season well."
James Feldeine spoke of a hard game, "It’s a great game. I played four years in Spain and I have never won against Barcelona. Now I go there with Panathinaikos and this is a great feeling. Never mind that, since I know this team I'm sure we will find solutions. We must cope with pressure and tension they will try to give in their game. We will fight for the best, go for a hard match."
