Roberto was strongly linked with a move to Arsenal as Marca claimed that the Gunners have tabled a decent offer to Olympiakos for the Spanish goalkeeper.
However, speaking to SDNA, his agent, Mariano Aguilar, rubbished these reports, stating that his future probably belongs to Olympiakos.
“No, there isn't any offer from Arsenal to Olympiakos for Roberto. This is a nonsense. I predict that Roberto will remain as an Olympiakos player this summer transfer window. He's a very important player for the club and Roberto himself is extremely happy to be playing at Olympiakos,” Aguilar told SDNA.
The agent of the Spanish goalkeeper added that there is always an interest from several European clubs, however it's highly unlikely that at the time being a club can lure Roberto away.
“The interest of several European clubs for Roberto is always there because he's a goalkeeper of top quality. I can't give you names. But I think it's very unlikely that a club can convince him to leave Olympiakos at this moment,” he said.
Also, regarding to his latest visit in Athens, Aguilar denied that he talked about Roberto's future with Olympiakos board.
“My visit in Athens did not have to do with this reason. I was invitend to attend the Olympiakos-Besiktas friendly game and we did not hold any talk with Olympiakos over Roberto's future.”
