Roberto has been strongly linked with Valencia this summer transfer window while Liverpool recently have been reportedly added into his suitors. However, his agent, Mariano Aguilar told SDNA that Liverpool have not made any contact and if a club is interested it has to inform Olympiakos first.
“I haven't held any talks with Liverpool for Roberto. The player has a contract at Olympiakos, he is an Olympiakos player and those who are interested they need to speak to Olympiakos,” Aguilar said.
Aguilar also rubbished the reports which claimed that Roberto was in advanced talks with Valencia. “We never held any negotiations with Valencia. I repeat that Roberto is an Olympiakos player so the suitors have to contact Olympiakos.”
Moreover Aguilar added that Roberto is happy at Olympiakos while he refused to comment on whether there is an 8 million euros buy-out clause in his contract. “Roberto is pleased at Olympiakos. He's very happy there and he does not make any thoughts of leaving. The clubs which are reportedly interested are of course great, however Roberto is still an Olympiakos player. As for the buy-out clause I'm not the responsible to tell you. It's something that you have to ask the club,” he underlined.
