Michael Essien arrived last night in Athens as he is very close to complete his Panathinaikos move.
The Ghanian midfielder is undergoing the medical and later on the day he will put pen to paper with Panathinaikos on a two-year deal worth of 1,2 million euros per year.
Upon his arrival at Athens International Airport Essien said: “I have talked with Cisse. He told me that Panathinaikos is a great club. The perception I've got from the fans here is amazing. Panathinaikos are a big club. I'll help Panathinaikos to play decent football and win silverware.”
