The article about the English Championship club and the Greek businessman: Nottingham Forest could have new owners within the next 24 hours, according to Sky sources.
Following months of negotiations, the owner of Olympiakos, Evangelos Marinakis, is poised to complete his takeover of the two-time European champions.
Sources say the English Football League (EFL) has sanctioned the purchase, after holding meetings with Marinakis and his representatives earlier this week.
The protracted deal has been in the pipeline for a few months but had been in doubt after it emerged Marinakis was facing allegations of match fixing in his homeland of Greece, and which would prevent him from meeting the criteria set out in the EFL's Owners and Directors test.
However, the EFL are said to be satisfied he faces no current criminal charges in Greece.
Sky sources have stressed Marinakis has been helping to finance the club in recent weeks, and was also part of the decision to appoint Mark Warburton as manager.
An American consortium tried to buy the Championship club in January from Fawaz Al Hasawi, who bought Forest in 2012.
