According to LiveSport newspaper Olympiakos want to make a big summer move with Dimitar Berbatov high in their shortlist.
The 34-year-old striker's contract at Monaco runs out at the end of the season and Olympiakos seem to have already expressed their interest.
The Greek giants are ready to take advantage of the good relationships with the French club and within the next days an Olympiakos director will travel to Monaco.
It is believed that during these meetings Olympiakos will discuss a potential signing of Dimitar Berbatov whose future ahead of next season has not been clarified yet.
Olympiakos are searching for a new striker and they are always interested in Andre-Pierre Gignac as reported the last few days.
However, this transfer would not be an easy task as long as Dinamo Moscow have entered the race offering a lucrative contract to the French striker who will be out of contract at Marseille at the end of the season.
