Ben has been a transfer target for both Olympiakos and PAOK this season as his contract was due to expire this summer. PAOK made an approach to sign him, however, Olympiakos managed to lure him as Ben has already agreed to continue his career to the potential Greek champions.
Ben spoke to sdna.gr admitting that the Champions League football with Olympiakos next season was one of the reasons he decided to join the club.
“I'll be an Olympiakos player next season. We have agreed on a three-year deal. PAOK expressed a serious interest but Olympiakos offer was better in terms of the wages. The reason I chose Olympiakos was to win titles as they are always title contenders in the league. It's a dream come true to play in the Champions League with my new club. I'm determined to work very hard and to help my new team as much as I can with my goals. Olympiakos have some great players in their squad, but I'm very confident,” Ben told SDNA.
