The Turkish club face Olympiakos tonight challenging to finish within the first two spots of the group which will pave the way for the home advantage in the quarter-finals.
The fixture seems to be decisive but Obradovic does not share the same opinion as there are still many games left for the remainder of the Top-16 in the tournament.
“I don’t think Olympiakos game is that decisive. Of course it’s a very important game but there are still five more for the remainder of the Top-16. Olympiakos are strong defensive-wise. They put pressure and their tactics are excellent,” Obradovic said speaking to Nova tv channel.
The Serbian coach believes that the home advantage in the Eurloeague quarter-finals is not that important as whether you have claimed it or not you still have to clinch three wins to go through to the Final Four.
“I don’t think the home advantage is so important. You still need to win three games to qualify. The formation of the tournament is great and the team with real qualities has good chances to go through. The most important is to be at your best. If we just go through to the quarter-finals I’ll be pleased,” he underlined.
Obradovic also paid tribute to Nikos Zisis, the Greek guard who plays at Fenerbahce. “I’m very pleased with Nikos. He’s an excellent guy and player and he has settled in quite quickly. Everyone respect him. He loves basketball and that’s the most important.”
