"I enjoyed three wonderful years with the shirt of AEK. It was a amazing experience. Many very nice but also very bad moments. That's life, you can not change it. If I did not have the injury problems, I could have offered more to the team. This is the most difficult part of my career. I have to work hard, in order to continue working in the job that I love: keep playing football.
I have some discussions with interested sides but not something specific yet. I do not want to start talking about it. I will remain in Athens for 20 more days and I will carry on working to be completely ready. I am not willing to start anything if I am not totally ready, this would be wrong.
My leg is very well, I feel better every day, I have to work in strength now in order to return on solid level and then we will see. The medical staff of AEK, Lakis Nikolaou, Alkis Kalliakmanis and the others, did an excellent job with me through difficult surgeries and I want to help them all.
Alkis helped me a lot, I would be lost without him. He was by my side all the time, helped me remain calm and carry on. He was a real friend for me. When I am walking down the road, people stop and ask me if I am feeling well, about the condition of my leg, if I will be able to play again. They are showing me much love.
I was always trying to give my best and I think they appreciated that. I have never lived something like that and I don't know if I will live it in the future. AEK was an once in a lifetime experience for me and the fans of the club will always be in my heart. I am leaving Greece with the best feeling towards AEK and I will always be a supporter of them. I hope to return to the club as manager in 10-20 years!
Of course, I have to be a very good manager to do so, because AEK is a great club and deserves all the best. It was my home for three years, they stood by my side and I want to thank them for everything", said the 29-year-old former player of FC Koper, who scored 25 goals in 33 official appearances with the shirt of AEK between 2013 and 2015, at his SDNA interview.
