Lucas does not want to return to PAOK and Deportivo are eager to keep him at the club but they will not table any bid before securing Primera Division football ahead of next season.
His agent revealed that his client is happy at Deportivo but refused to confirm if Lucas will remain at Riazor as he is not sure whether a deal between the two clubs can be reached.
“Lucas is very happy at Deportivo. He wants to keep playing for the club. We have not opened any negotiations over his future yet, as everyone at Deportivo want to secure the survival first. As long as La Coruna stay up, the discussions to make the move permanent will start. But I don't know whether Deportivo can afford the buy-out clause in his contract,” Fernandez Lovelle told Real News newspaper.
The buy-out clause in Lucas's contract is in the region of 3,5 million euros which could potentially drag on the negotiations between Deportivo and PAOK.
