Al-Hilal dropped to second place in the group but Donis is optimistic for the rest of the campaign.
“This defeat is not the end of the world. We tried to get a good result, it was a very tight game but Al-Sadd managed to get the victory. We gave a good display especially in the first half, we created a lot of chances, but we missed efficiency in the final third. Also we gave away the ball easily and Al-Sadd scored in their first chance. We've still got chances and we are confident that we can make it,” Donis quoted.
Giorgos Samaras, the Greek striker, who plays for Al-Hilal, started from the bench and he came in during the second half.
