Tasos Sidiropoulos is considered to be the best Greek referee and the only one in UEFA Elite list, but has not been appointed in any Olympiakos' matches in Super League for more than a year.
The last time Sidiropoulos refereed a match of the champions was in February 2015, at their away loss against Panathinaikos. Since then, he was the referee of meaningless Greek Cup game against AO Chania (Olympiakos won 4-1) and this season has only been appointed at one derby, PAOK-AEK 2-1.
The Reds have not the same great record with Tasos Sidiropoulos as with many of the other referees. In seven Super League matches under him, they have won only in two.
