The Bastia striker who spent two years at Panathinaikos between 2009 and 2011 seasons was one of the favourite players among Panathinaikos supporters and speaking to sdna.gr he expressed his wish to return at Leoforos.
“I'm a Panathinaikos supporter. What I experienced there is an incredible feeling. I've got a special link with PAO fans. I love them as they love me too. I would like to finish my career at Panathinaikos and play at Leoforos. If they give me that chance, I would come back without a second thought,” Cisse told sdna.gr.
One of his best moments as a Panathinaikos player was when he scored a brace against Olympiakos in the Greek Super League derby. “I will never forget this win over Olympiakos at Olympic Stadium when I scored two goals. It was one of my best moments in my career. I really feel excited every time I watch the highlights of that game,” Cisse underlines.
The French striker also adds that the refereeing in these derbies plays its role. “The refereeing is very important in these games. I remember that we scored a goal at Karaiskakis that should have counted. The referee has to be neutral in these derbies,” he quoted.
Finally Cisse spoke about his relationship with Olympiakos owner, Vaggelis Marinakis with whom he clashed at Karaiskakis Stadium after the end of the game between Olympiakos and Panathinaikos in 2010-2011 season. “We met each other in Monaco by coincidence. I went there to see a friend of mine and he was in the same restaurant. We shook hands and that's it.”
