The French defender who recently retired at Olympiakos is likely to return there as technical advisor, turning down Barcelona's offer for a demanding role.
“Olympiakos want me to keep an eye on the sponsorships and to be a link between Olympiakos and Barcelona academies. You don't have to be on alert 24 hours a day and they asked me to be in Athens four days a month. I will accept the offer. I have already promised it. Barcelona's offer was to be a link between the board and the squad, but I can't see any reason on that. They also offered me to lead their plan in the academy but it's a very demanding post. I don't wish to work 24 hours a day,” Abidal said in France Football.
