At an official announcement, Panathinaikos' officials condemn fan's violent behaviour, but also blame referee Andreas Pappas for tonight game's postponement.
The announcement: "Panathinaikos FC will always be against violence in football. 90 minutes before the match's start, two or three idiot fans dropped firecrackers against Olympiakos' players. Two hours later, although nothing more happened until then, the referee broke the official rules and decided to postpone the game. This decision led to the following riots, which hurt Panathinaikos and the whole greek football. We hope that the Sports officials will understand how mistaken and irresponsible the referee's decision was".
