The 20 year old Dinamo Zagreb winger, Marco Pjaca is probably right now the next big thing in the Croatian football. Back home everybody knows him and major clubs like Bayern, Manchester United, AC Milan and Inter Milan already checking him out.
Pjaca will be asked to replace the injured Soudani in the starting lineup of the Croatian team tonight at "Karaiskaki". Dinamo, despite the significant problems, came in Greece to get the win, as pointed out by the Croatian midfielder speaking to SDNA.
"Our goal from the start of the season was to qualify for the Champions League groups. Everything we do now is considered a bonus, but we are in this event and we want to go as far as possible. In every game our goal is only the win. In our group of course all three teams are tough and are considered favorites, but favorites do not always win, right? We have three games ahead of us, from which we can pick up nine points, and we will give everything to win, “says Pjaca to SDNA.
In the game of Zagreb Olympiacos passed victorious, leaving great impressions to Pjaca, who praised the "reds", especially for the quality and choices available in the middle and up front.
"In the first game we played well, dominated and we were better in most part of the game but in the end we lost. So is football. Olympiacos is an excellent team, especially up front where Pardo, Fortunis, Seba, Domingeuz and Ideye can cause great damage. It takes only a little space to do so much and this makes them great players. "
What will Dinamo do tonight at "Karaiskaki" to disarm the Olympiacos? He plays offensively like in the domestic championship, or will look to hit in the counterattacks?
"This question is for my manager than for me. I can say that we tend to play offensively and possession football in the Croatian football league. This is the style that we know how to play. Of course, when you have to face teams like Bayern, Arsenal and Olympiacos, then they determine how will play" commented Pjaca .
The Croatian midfielder, however, does not believe that he and his teammates will be affected by the "hot" atmosphere Olympiacos fans will create at "Karaiskaki", and does not consider "reds" will be "hostile."
"I do not think the word" enemy "is just right for the atmosphere that prevails on the field. There will be many Olympiakos fans who will shout for their team, but this is good for us. It is very good that we will play in a packed stadium. This is the atmosphere that every football stadium needs, but when the game starts, the players no longer have their interest in the stands, only the pitch, "said Pjaca.
He feels flattered by the fact that several major European teams seem to seriously consider his case. But for now he stays loyal to Dinamo Zagreb.
"This is something flattering for me and a proof that I am doing a good job. Being associated with some of the major clubs is the dream of every player and is something that gives me even more enthusiasm to work hard and improve in training. I am very happy at Dinamo in the town I grew up and my first love, but in football you never know what your future holds. "
