Olympiakos co-chairman Giorgos Aggelopoulos said that Giorgos Sloukas lied over the summer during his talks with the club over his contract renewal.
Sloukas decided to continue his career at Fenerbahce and Aggelopoulos revealed that he felt upset with his behaviour speaking after Olympiakos's win at Armani.
“We wanted to keep Sloukas in the squad. We did the utmost to keep him but he did not want to meet us. He lied despite our love for him and despite his success at Olympiakos. He said that he wanted to consider his future with his mother in Salonika but eventually he was in Athens having some other meetings,” Aggelopoulos underlined.
