Olympiakos enjoy a six-point lead at the top of the table above their bitter rivals Panathinaikos.
The two clubs are set to face each other next month in the super Greek derby and Olympiakos manager Marco Silva knows very well that this match means a lot to the fans.
“They are two great teams and it is always a very important game. It's like Benfica-Sporting derby in Portugal. I haven't experienced this derby in Greece yet but I know how important is for both clubs. It's highly important for the players as well who will remember this kind of games forever. Always the win is the most important, but you have to experience these derbies as well,” Silva said.
Also Silva added that his hard work has paid off so far at Olympiakos after the excellent start into the season: “The dedication and the daily hard work have made an impact so far into the start we have made. Achieving records is a difficult task and it gets even tougher to break them. But this is down to my work.”
