When asked if the Greek champions were backed from the referees during previous seasons, Gagatsis was surprised: “Do you have to hear me saying that? You don't see it? This is a fact. I knew what was going on. But none of the referees were being punished. When I was elected as a president in 2011 I picked Bikas, Tevekelis and Giannopoulos. I told them that I picked them under one decision: All the refereeing of the match-fixing scandal to be expelled. Bikas told me that they are plenty. The 23 out of 26 referees were dropped out of the list,” Gagatsis underlined.
