Former AEK striker Eidur Gudjohnsen believes that the biggest problem the Greek football is facing has to do with the background in refereeing.
Gudjohnsen believes that as long as the poor refereeing goes on, Greek football cannot be compared with the other European football leagues.
“There are many factors outside football which play their role in Greece. There are a background and poor refereeing in Greek football. I don't know why. I remember that when I was there the Super League got underway with fewer teams because of the match-fixing scandal,” Gudjohnsen said.
