"It's a bit arduous to sit on the bench and not be able to participate and do what you are used to do. It's the difficult part now. Time is by my side and I will come back strong. Μy recovery is on a good way. I have started running. In two or three monthsI will be ready to play" said Pappas to SDNA.
The 25-year-old guard was asked about Panathinaikos this season: "I think we have more talent that last season. Players last season were good but this season's transfers are like those Panathinaikos are used to. I am very optimistic, very ambitious and have great expectations. Every player added to the team has experience. But we have to help them settle in for a match against Olympiacos. Everybody knows with what team they play and know that these wins help the clubs' prestige, qualifications and ranking".
As fas as his form is concerned, Pappas replied: "I want to return healthy and reach the standards I had before my injury. That's the most important thing. I expect to have a better season than last year".
Pappas could not leave out of the conversation Panathinaikos new coach Sasha Djordjevic: "I've talked with the coach. He told me that he trusts me and he had watched me in the past. He told me that he will wait for me to return and that he will be patient with me. If I don't enter the court, whatever the coach might have said, doesn't matter".
