"Εither referees are manipulated or they are just scared. What I want as a fan is to see good refereeing. We have good referees in Greece. The best is Tasos Kakos who gives the impression that he is not hear to treat you unfairly. We have many bad referees too. I think that Iraklis Tsikinis is a very bad referee. I don;t know why we have a problem. The solution must be found by those who hold Greek football in their hands" claimed Katsourani about the Greek referees.
Katsouranis was accused of affecting manager's choices: "In Greece we are all fanciful. They can ask Fernando Santos if a manager on this level receives a letter by the players. You can talk to some of my teammates. I never tried to control anything".
The retired player revealed that he had agreed terms with Olympiacos in the past: "Olympiacos were the first team I agreed with and I was waiting to sign. My manager called me and said to me that they disappeared. I came in touch with AEK and Panathinaikos. Filippidis was Panathinaikos chairman then. AEK offer was beter and I chose them.
