The 27-year-old center talked to the official websote of Euroleague:
Hi to all basketball fans!
For us, it was a special experience to participate on the 2015 Euroleague Asia Tour. And I am sure that we proved it during our two games in Hanghzou and Macau. We played seriously against both our opponents because first of all, we respect every team and secondly, we are at the stage of trying to find chemistry as a team and learn to play together.
China is a different world even if we are talking about lifestyle or basketball. That which we all understand is that they love basketball and this is shown by the significant investments they make, trying to attract big names to their league.
We found ourselves in China as ambassadors for European basketball, representing the biggest league of our continent, the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, and also a European "giant" with many successes, Panathinaikos Athens. It is very good that two different worlds to come together, speaking the same language, that of basketball. It is also important to give your expertise to people who want to learn and love basketball.
Also, it was a pleasure for me to have participated in the excellent One Team programme and I had the opportunity to be close to young children who love basketball and expect to learn from us. We were greeted warmly with smiles and applause and this filled us joy.
We, as Panathinaikos, had a good opportunity to get together for several days, which is important since many of us just gt back to the team a few days ago because of our obligations in the national teams. That was an important stage in our effort to learn how to play all together as soon as we can. Don't forget that difficult games are coming and we must be ready!
As a final note, I want to thank all Chinese people for their hospitality and the love that gave us.
