"Ιt didn't matter to me that I was not in the All star first team. Maybe I'll be int he second or third. It;s a very difficult choice. I had many good teammates. It's difficult to selectthe best 5. The most important thing is the chemistry we had as a team" said Batiste.
About Greece in the Eurobasket: " I watch many Europeans games. I am American and I want the USA team to win. I f they don't I want my second team, Greece, to win. I know it's important for them to win the Eurobasket".
About Panathinaikos chemistry: "We were 15 different players but had one target. Winning. We sacrificed anything for eachother. We omly cared about winning trophies. I look back and I see two searate stories. There were different situations then. I feel blessed when I llok back".
About his life now: "I coach. I work with Cleveland in the Minor League. I wanted to stay in the game. I feel lucky because I know the European style of playing and helps me add more tactics on defense.
About Giannakopoulos and Obradovic: " Giannakopoulos's life is Panathinaikos. He has given everything to the players and to the club. He has devoted his life to winning and we all respect him. I am sure I will return to Greece in 5-10 years from now. I want to prove that I can offer as a coach not only as a player. I had the opportunity to work with great people and see the game from different aspect".
